The April Rush

Spring—or as it’s called here in Colorado, Second Spring—has officially arrived. One day it’s blue skies and sunshine, the next it’s a snowstorm. Meanwhile, our team in Phoenix is already gearing up for summer, with temperatures rising right along with the excitement around Haynes.

No matter the forecast, the momentum across our company has been unstoppable.

This month, we hosted our 9th Annual Haynes Safety Jam.

A huge thank you to Kenny Graham and the Safety Committee for all their hard work in putting together such a memorable event. And a big shoutout to all of our technicians who showed up in full uniform on a Saturday—your commitment to safety, to Haynes, and to the industry is what sets us apart. The crane demos were incredible, and seeing Debbie absolutely crush that fire during the extinguisher training was definitely a highlight!

Along with Safety Jam, we’ve been busy across every corner of the company. From Rockies Opening Day celebrating our amazing customers, to SoCo’s Open House showing off their new building, to project wins across all GEOs, the energy, motivation and performance Haynes Associates bring every month is undeniable. There’s a lot to celebrate, a lot to be proud of, and even more ahead.

Get ready—we have a great newsletter this month! We’re featuring our Associate Spotlight with Jerry Seitz, sharing photos from recent events, and yes—David’s Trivia Corner is back for a second round, ready to test who’s been keeping their random knowledge sharp.

Thanks for bringing your best every day—through sunshine, snowstorms, and everything in between.

Let’s keep 2025 rolling strong!

th

Annual

This past weekend, we brought the spirit, the gear, and the grit to our 9th Annual Haynes Safety Jam—and it was a massive success!

A huge shoutout to Kenny Graham and our incredible Safety Committee for organizing such a powerful and action-packed day. To all the technicians who showed up in full uniform on a Saturday—your dedication to our “Safety by Choice, Not by Chance” mindset is commendable. You showed up, leaned in, and set the tone for the year ahead.

Also noteworthy, let’s give it up for the weather finally playing nice! After a few snow-filled years, this year brought sunshine, clear skies, and just enough chill in the morning to remind us we’re in Colorado. As the sun warmed up, so did the energy—and it carried through the whole event.

We had Tool Country out showing off their latest safety gear, hands-on breakout sessions where Associates got to step into the role of crane operator, and fire extinguisher training that gave everyone a chance to put their safety skills into action. Of course, we were honored to have the one and only Dr. Charlie Cartwright join us as our guest speaker—bringing powerful insights and motivation to help keep safety front and center.

Check out the sneak peek photos for a glimpse into the day—video footage is on the way, video footage is on the way.  Marketing will send it out once it's ready.

Thanks again to everyone who brought the focus, the drive, and the heart. Haynes safety culture is strong—and that’s because of you.

National Trauma Awareness Month

May is National Trauma Awareness Month, and this year, we’re focusing on one of the most underreported injuries in the workplace and beyond: concussions. According to the Brain Injury Research Institute, 1.6 to 3.8 million athletes suffer concussions each year—and many more go undiagnosed. While we may think of concussions as “sports-related,” they can happen in any setting, including on the job.

image.png

Concussions are serious and always require medical attention.

Common signs include:

  • Confusion or forgetfulness

  • Disorientation or “glassy eyes”

  • Clumsiness or balance issues

  • Slowed speech or behavior changes

Most people recover within a few weeks, but for some—especially children and teens—symptoms can last much longer and affect how they think, act, and feel.

Early recognition and proper care are key. If something doesn’t seem right, speak up and get it checked out.
